Thankful

I have to admit I was feeling a little sad this Thanksgiving as we are here, just the three of us, with no family present this year to celebrate with. I went out this morning to run errands and on the way home passed a funeral. I thought, how sad to have to bury a loved one the day before Thanksgiving. I then thought of all the people that I know or have read about who have experienced such tremendous loss this year. Our neighbors just lost their son last month to cancer at the tender age of 7. I read many blogs of moms who have lost their precious babies this year...never getting to hold them while they were living or only getting to do so for a few minutes. Then, I felt guilty for being sad that our families are not here because I have so much to be thankful for. So instead, I am thankful today. Thankful for my healthy, beautiful little girl who gives me more joy than I ever thought possible. Thankful for my amazing and loving husband. Thankful for our wonderful families and friends. Thankful that Shaun has three days off of work this weekend. Thankful for our health and the health of our loved ones. I could go on and on and on......

We wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving and hope that you also have a long list of things to give thanks for. May God bless you and yours!
