Leaving on a jet plane

The suitcases are packed, everything is prepared for the house/dog sitter, I am showered and ready to go. Shaun worked last night and will be home in about a half hour (yes, he works right up until the moment we leave). Julianne is still sleeping of course and I will have to wake her up in a few minutes to get her ready. I am exhausted but so excited. I only got about 3 hours of sleep which is not enough for me. We will have a long journey today (here to Chicago, Chicago to LA, drive to Bako) but are so excited to see our family and friends. Shaun's parents and younger sister and our nephews are coming from Washington and we also have several family members and friends coming from out of town for Julianne's party on Saturday. I'm looking forward to getting there, getting settled and starting the whirlwind of activities that will be the next few days. Then we are off to sunny Mexico on Sunday. We are so blessed that my parents will be watching Julianne for us so we can get away together. Right now a beach, being able to sleep in, and 5 days with our best friends sounds like heaven on earth. Enjoy your week friends!

I'm so jealous of your trip. You will have so much fun! Hope your travels today go smoothly. Tell all those Bako girls hi for me!

Ha! Seems we use the same post-call travel method...except we drive, so that means *I* drive. Enjoy family time and your adults-only trip to Mexico! I'm jealous! Our oldest child is 12 and we've never spent even one night away from the kids.
I'm sure you won't miss the snow we're supposed to get today! ;)
