Show us where you live Fridays - Master Bedroom

Happy Friday everyone! Time for another week of Show Us Where You Live. Today is master bedrooms. I had a hard time deciding what to do with this room. When we moved in it was still white as the previous owner's had not painted it. The room is large (very long) so I knew it needed some color. I was worried about going with such a dark color when I decided to paint it brown but I think it turned out great!
This is our bed and nightstands. I got the bedding at Z Gallerie which just went out of business here and I am bummed! My mom made the pillows.

Plant shelf (most of these treasures were picked up at Homegoods)
No room in our house is complete without pictures of Julianne
The bathroom. We had big plans for this room involving a total makeover (different tub, new shower, new counter tops, refinish cabinets) but since we are moving in less than a year (sooner than we thought), we just changed out the light fixtures and are going to change the faucets
Other vanity and the tub. It's the hugest tub I've ever seen but DOES NOT have jets. I have no idea why you would want a tub that big and no jets. Hence, the reason I wanted a new tub.
Shower on the left and door leading to separate toilet area

When we moved in we knew we had to do something about the closet. It had the wire rack shelving and was not laid out to make use of the space. We got several bids to makeover our closet (the cheapest being $5800) so my hubby did it instead. He made all the pieces, installed them and I did the painting. I love it! And we saved ourselves about $5,000.

And mine.....
There you have it. Our bedroom. Go on over to Kelly's blog to see all the master bedrooms in the tour today! Happy weekend to you all!

WOW! Would you come and decorate my house, please? Pretty PLEASE?! Even if you'd just paint, that would be enough for me. These are such lovely colors and beautiful decorating.

I LOVE the master!!! Mine is done in blue and brown too. I wanted to post mine, but I don't think I'll have time to make the bed and fold the clothes in there to take a decent picture. I suck!

LOL @ Rachel above. That's what I was thinking...I simply don't have the time it would take to CLEAN up my rooms to take the pictures. But I sure love looking at other people's homes. FUN!

I was behind you on SITS so I'm stopping by this morning to say hello. :)

Your bedroom paint color is so warm and rich. I like it and I like those wall hangings!

I need to paint my trim white too. It really pops!

Stopping by from SITS. I love the room. You have so much space. My husband built our closet too. It makes such a difference, and we saved a ton.

I can't believe how completely and wonderfully your whole house is decorated! I feel like such an underachiever! :) I read that you are moving sooner than expected. Did I miss a blog topic on that (I have been waaaay behind like usual)?
