10 years ago today, I married the man of my dreams. In some ways, it seems like yesterday. In other ways, it feels like we've lived a lifetime. 18 years together, 10 years of marriage. It was one of the happiest days of my life. It has been really fun to go back through all of the pictures (not so fun scanning them all in to our computer) and thinking back to that day. We were young and had so much ahead of us. It seemed like anything was possible as long as we were together. We've realized so many of our dreams together already and I can't wait to see what the future holds for us. This post is a look back at our special day.
Randi stayed the night with me at my parents house. We had a little slumber party and kept talking about how it was my last night as a single girl. We turned in early because I wanted to get plenty of sleep. I woke up the next morning filled with excitement.
Here is a picture of me right when I woke up (thanks Randi)

My dad went to get my favorite breakfast, Foster's Donuts, and we enjoyed a relaxed morning.

The girls headed to the salon to get our hair done. Shannon had been doing my hair forever and she did a wonderful job that day, on me and the rest of the girls.

Me with my hair done (and no make-up on)

We went back to my parents house for make-up

After getting make-up on and finally getting my dress on, we were ready to head out for pictures

My dad snapped photos as I came downstairs

Getting in the limo (not so easy in a dress that big)

This is my "holy crap it's hot" face. It was July. In Bakersfield. 100 degrees.

Let's go!

We had fun in the limo

Shaun and I did not want to see each other before the ceremony, so he and his family took pictures first, and then we followed.

This is a bit later in the evening....I sang to Shaun and did a little dance for him

I gave it all I had

He appreciated it!

Babe, I love you more than I can say. These last 10 years have been an adventure. It hasn't always been easy but we have made it through together. I can honestly say that I love you more today than I did on that day 10 years ago. You've given me a wonderful life and it's better than I ever dreamed. I have you. We have Julianne. Life is sweet and it keeps getting sweeter. I love you!

Jenn,
Thanks for sharing your wedding story. I really enjoyed it. My own ten year anniversary is coming up on the 31st of July. It has inspired me to consider doing the same on our blog. (Which really I post for my family in Houston and Tahoe and Kenny's family in Connecticut and San Diego.) It seems funny that several of our pictures look similar from Laurelglen. Congrats to you both! I hope you enjoyed celebrating!
