Wedding flashback - part 4

I made two trips home during the entire wedding planning process. One was during Christmas. I had several missions to complete but the most important was to find dresses for my girls. I wanted to find something that was not to expensive, the color I wanted (eggplant), and easy. We decided to take a day trip down south to David's Bridal. David's Bridal is the perfect place to buy bridesmaids dresses because they have them in stock in tons of sizes and you can take them with you that day and just get the alterations done later (if you live far away from the store as we did). We headed out, just the 7 of us. Myself, my 4 bridesmaids, my mom and Randi's mom. It was a really fun day to just be together, go shopping, go out to eat, and laugh. We laughed alot.

This is us about to leave
We drove the 3+ hours to the nearest David's Bridal (remember...this was 10+ years ago). I think Bakersfield now has a David's Bridal but hey, we would have missed out on our trip! We found a dress immediately. It was exactly what I wanted. The perfect shade of eggplant, it looked good on everyone, it was simple and elegant. These pictures don't do the color justice, it was gorgeous! It was fun for me to just sit back and watch my girls do the trying on.
And I made them do poses....like this one
The back was so pretty and had a little train (I loved that)
I know they are all thinking...o.k. enough pictures already!
One of me with the girls
We stopped at Olive Garden for lunch - yummy!
We also stopped at McDonald's at some point during the day but just for a potty break and soda's
My mom and I before we headed home
We found the dress so fast that we even had time to do a little shopping at Marshall's.
It was a perfect day. Just me and the girls. Funny stories on the car ride, shopping, eating, laughing. Perfection!

I had so much fun shopping with my bridesmaids at David's Bridal! It's so funny how the stores all look the same on the inside even over time!

It had to be David's for my girls. I was in Ohio and my bridesmaids were in Chicago, Michigan, Virginia and Philly. I basically picked out a couple different dresses in the same color and told them to go figure out which one they wanted.
