I forgot how
incredibly frustrating super fun it is to teach a baby how to eat with a spoon. It's cereal time people! I've been giving Claire cereal in her bottle for a while now but we are now trying to conquer eating it with a spoon. Uh...it's not going so well. I'm not sure she ate any cereal at all. Most of it ended up on the bib, on her hands, on her eyelids, on her nose, and in her hair. We're working on it though...and we will succeed!
What is this mommy? Bleh.

Am I supposed to eat it or wear it?

I'm pretty sure I'd rather just eat my hand

Gag me with a spoon. Literally.

I smile so much that it just all comes spilling out!

See?

Why do I have to eat this?

I have cereal in my eyelashes

My bib tastes better than that stuff

Still happy

I am precious!

Of course, the difficulty of feeding a baby cereal is made worse when you have a two year old that comes to investigate and wants to get in on the action

She came over and immediately said "want mommy's lap?"

"
pweeeeeaaaassseee?"

She'll even blow kisses to get her way

So this is where she ended up. On mommy's lap while mommy was feeding Claire.

We made the best of it by being silly!

I offered her some cereal....this is what she did.

"See ya mommy!"

I guess you have to start somewhere! I can't blame big sis for walking off!
Oh I remember these days... and I'll get to re-live them myself before too long as well!
The pictures are hilarious! =)
Too funny. I think every new parent gets so excited when they can feed their baby cereal, but they have no idea how long it actually takes their sweet little one to learn how to actually swallow the stuff.
Your daughter is adorable!
Hehe, yeah, Natalie wasn't thrilled to be given spoon fed food in the beginning.
Oh, I remember that frustration well. Hang in there. She's cute anyway.
