Showering Tricia

Sorry I've been so out of touch while we're on vacation. It feels like we've been gone from home for about a month. It's tiring traveling with little girls but they have been troopers and were fantastic on our journey so far. I finally got some pictures downloaded to my mom's computer so I'm going to attempt to do a few posts on our adventures so far. Here is the first. The reason for our trip in the first place. My wonderful friend Tricia's baby shower. Tricia and I were roommates in college so we've known each other for about 14 years now (yikes)! She is one of the sweetest people you could ever hope to meet and I am so excited for her and her husband Eric as they embark on the journey of parenthood. They are going to make wonderful parents and I can't wait for sweet little Brooklynn's arrival in September.
My mom and I attended the shower last Saturday in San Diego. It was held at Tricia's moms house and it was a perfect day. It was wonderful weather and no detail was left out. Tricia's mom and sister did a great job planning the shower and we had a great time.

This is me, Tricia, and our friend Karla (she went to APU too) Me with Karla
The tables in the backyard. We had a great lunch and the weather just couldn't have been better. The sangria was really good too!

The fruit. So pretty and so delicious!
The candy bar. Best chocolate malt balls ever. And frosted animal cookies? Those were my favorite treat as a little girl.
Who doesn't love a diaper cake? So cute.
The loot. Holy moly. Tricia has very generous friends and she was showered with so many wonderful things for baby Brooklynn.
This is Tricia opening one of my gifts - the baby bjorn. Best. Invention. Ever.
This is a little dress I got her. Oh so cute! I went a little nuts with the girl clothes but I can't help myself.
My mom made Tricia her baby bedding and curtains. For some reason I don't have a photo of it. I'll have to get a photo from Tricia once everything is ready in the room. It turned out so beautiful.
We had a wonderful day celebrating baby Brooklynn's upcoming arrival. She is due to arrive September 7th and it can't get here fast enough. Tricia, I love you friend. You are going to make such a wonderful mother! I can't wait to see all that is in store for you and Eric. Becoming a parent is the most amazing gift. Congratulations!

It was one of the prettiest showers I've been to. Beautiful day for a sweet, beautiful lady.

Wow, what a beautiful shower. I am throwing one next weekend for a friend, and now I am rethinking the decor!
