Goodbye pacifiers!

It was time.  I didn't want to do it.  I was scared.  Claire is addicted to pacifiers.  I broke her of having them during the day a few months ago (except when traveling), but she still wanted it for sleeping.  I knew we'd have to do it at some point so I figured now was as good of a time as any.  I had heard several ways to do it and I thought the paci fairy would work best for Claire.  We gathered up every pacifier in the house and wrapped them up.  We told her the paci fairy was coming to get them and would leave her a present in exchange for the pacifiers.  She was like "ok".  We wrapped them up and she was excited.  See?

And then it was time to go to bed.  Without a paci.  She cried.  And cried.  And cried.  The first night she cried for about 30 minutes.  It was awful.  I wanted to give in after about 10.  The next night she cried a little less and by the third night it was fine.  She would still ask for them for a few days after but all is well now.  Pacifier removal SUCCESS!  Yay!
