Randi came for a visit this weekend. I love it when she comes to visit. It's like no time has passed. She's been amazing since my diagnosis and offered to come help me with whatever I needed. I had a bunch of stuff that had been piling up on my to do list and suddenly wanted to do everything. She delivered.
I have had the supplies to make some bow holders for the girls for over a year. It's one of those projects that you just never seem to get around to. I bought an art canvas (actually two of them), some material, some ribbon and voila:
There was barely enough room for all of them. We love some bows around here.
I've been wanting to try to make a mesh ribbon for soooo long. We found some super cute ribbon at Sam's Club so I got it and we decided to try it. Actually, Randi tried it. She is so much better at this stuff than me. This is about 3/4 of the way through. It turned out so cute. I have to get some finishing touches for it as soon as Hobby Lobby gets their Halloween stuff in. They have Thanksgiving and Christmas out but no Halloween. Go figure.
Since running the half marathon in April, I've wanted to display some things from it. My shirt that I got (that is such an ugly color of orange I will never ever wear it), my number, my medal, and a picture of all my friends I ran with. Randi did this shadow box for me and I just love it!
I also had a bunch of stuff from our trip to the SEC Championship last fall. So, we made a shadow box for it too. This is going to look so great hanging in our basement in the new house!
